What are you most proud of? This is the most "intricate" piecework I've done (and I haven't done much!) in that every bit of color on there is it's own strip. So I'm pretty proud of this thing actually turning out square and looking almost as nice as the picture in the magazine. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Compare the list of cuts to make to the cream background color to the actual strips shown on the diagram. I really don't think I cut more than was specified and I ended up with a ton of extra strips... and not enough of that fabric for my pillow backing. Don't miss the bit about topstitching each square in matching thread. I completely missed that, I was so consumed with getting the piecework right. It's just a cosmetic enhancement, but I think it would make the pillow pop even more.
