Poplin 'pinny' dress

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Burdastyle Poplin Dress 05/2013 #124 + #125 Link to website or photo www.burdastyle.com/pattern_store/patterns/poplin-dress-052013?utm_source=burdastyle&utm_medium=hp&utm_campaign=bsmhpotw053113-potwpoplindress124 What are you most proud of? I found the instructions for the centre band rather confusing and it took a bit of fiddling around for me to work it out. But I got there in the end. Secretly, I'm most proud of the fact that it looks like an old-fashioned pinny, but I can wear it anywhere... What advice would you give someone starting this project? Sometimes the most straight-forward-looking projects can throw you - it's not hard but it might require a bit more patience than suggested at first glance. Oh, and some concentration it seems I was lacking at the time.

What you will need

  • Light cottony material
  • with a slight stretch

Q&A with Tallulah Twirl

VictorianGirl93 asked:
Great job! It's gorgeous :)
Tallulah Twirl answered:
Thank you! I'm wearing it today, and the best thing is how comfortable it is. I'm going through a 'comfortable' phase just now!
HellyH asked:
Very nice....it fits you well.
Tallulah Twirl answered:
Thank you - it's a very forgiving style but I have to admit to getting quite 'fit-obsessed' (clearly not in the gym though!) recently, so that's a lovely thing to say!
shazdove asked:
Love the dress, love the fabric and love your shoes too
Tallulah Twirl answered:
Haha! Thank you. Shoes are *very* important! ;-)
torilynn asked:
Love it,
Tallulah Twirl answered:
Thank you, torilynn.
