Pool tote

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo 20 minute tote Link to website or photo www.purlbee.com/the-twenty-minute-tote/2010/5/7/mollys-sketchbook-the-twenty-minute-tote.html What are you most proud of? That it looks like an actual tote bag, not a lopsided monstrosity that I usually churn out lol. This is probably my best corner job to date, and I LOVE this fabric. I haven't used it yet, but I feel it is sturdy and will hold up with multiple trips to the pool (since it is most definitely NOT fall here yet! lol) What advice would you give someone starting this project? For some reason I thought the raw edges of the handles wouldn't be seen when all was said and done, but lo and behold you can see my webbing sticking out of the fabric on the handles. I may try to cut and burn it, hoping the entire bag doesn't go up in flames :) Bottom line: don't leave any ugly parts! :)

What you will need

  • Water-resistant (I think) clearance home dec fabric
  • vinyl-like material for interior
  • 1" webbing
