Project

Plus size Market tunic

What are you most proud of? Here's how. Rotate pattern along fold line 0" at neckline up to 2" + at hip. Both front and back. Also added circumference to sleeve by folding sleeve pattern in half, rotating sleeve on fold (as above), cutting sleeve per sleeve back part of pattern( the largest part) then unfolding the sleeve and cutting the front concave curve according to the pattern. In this way, you do not have to mess with the sleeve cutting on the bodice front and back and the sleeve fits the bodice seam line. Likewise, you do not have to alter the neck facing pieces. YOU DO NEED TO CUT SLEEVE FACING FROM THE SLEEVE AS CUT not the pattern piece. The above adaptation works for elbow length sleeves or shorter. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This works great for me because I have a pear shaped body. Also found the top works just great WITHOUT the left underarm zipper.

This is so cute. What pattern did you use?
leslie.co1312533 answered:
It was an old Craftsy kit (2-3 years ago) and no longer available there. However, I have found the pattern at Nancy's Notions. Market day tunic. Happy sewing.
