Project Description

What are you most proud of? I made a successful small bust adjustment, used size 6 for the bodice and graded up to an 8 for the waist and hips. I ended up letting out a little more seam allowance for the hips since it fits pretty snugly. I can't believe it fits so well in the bum area! I ended up wearing it to a Memorial Day bbq and was cool and comfortable the whole day. (it's already in the 90's here in Austin in late May!) What advice would you give someone starting this project? Check your measurements and definitely allow some more ease for the hips. Add length to the shorts unless you like hot pants length! It's a pretty easy pattern to follow if you have some experience sewing patterns.

What you will need

  • I cut up a huge
  • old cotton 60's maxiskirt that I had bought from the thrift store for the fabric. I used some turquoise fabric from my stash for the bodice lining.
