What are you most proud of? I had a yard and a half of fabric. It came with the lace already sewn on. So I measured the length according to height, allowing 2" to turn down for the elastic. The rest I cut in triangles. I measured one side of a triangle, then slit the skirt where I wanted the insert to be. I sewed all of them in, then trimmed/serged the hem and turned it up 1/2 inch. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make it any length you want, just remember to allow for the elastic at the top. The inserts are cut on the cross grain, so they stand out when you look at them. It's an easy skirt to make.
