Pillowcase Dress

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I made up the pattern although you can get commercial patterns. I don't think it is necessary. I just cut two rectangles. The tricky part is the top. I had to make a few to figure out how that worked. And you have to figure the right space to leave for the arms. Not hard at all once you figure it all out.

You Can Make This

Cinda Rella made Pillowcase Dress with:

  • Mostly cottn
  • but heavier fabrics can be used for fall. Cute with t-shirt and leotards in cooler weather.

Q&A with Cinda Rella

No-No asked:
I was fortunate enough to find high thread count pillow cases on sale and made one of these for my grandaughter and used the other pillowcase to make one for her dolly. She was thrilled.
Cinda Rella answered:
I think they were orignally always made with pillowcases, but I just use fabric that I have purchased from Hobby Lobby or JoAnn Fabric. Aren't they easy and fun to make!
