Persian Tote

What are you most proud of? As a textile artist I strive to create items with a unique look. Adding whimsical elements and using items from my stash makes me smile. Creating beautiful items is even more satisfying when you havent spent much. My life has been about substituting creativity and sweat equity in lei of capital. I cant wait to fill this tote up and go to a Wearable Art Midwest meeting for show & tell. By the way, working with heavy layers was tough and required ripping a few seams out to get closer to even. For the leather parts I used paper clips to hold it all together during stitching. Whew, I cant believe I didnt break a needle! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't hesitate to incorporate a variety of fabrics into your project.
