Peacock Dirndl Skirt

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo "Sew a Full, Gathered Skirt" Parts 1 & 2 Link to website or photo www.blogforbettersewing.com/2009/08/sew-full-gathered-skirt-part-one-make.html What are you most proud of? How nicely the seams lined up so you can barely see the change in the pattern. This took a lot of "engineering" - measuring, lining up, remeasuring, pin basting to check, measuring again, then actually cutting. What advice would you give someone starting this project? The pattern is easy to make - it is just rectangles. If you have to try creating your first pattern, this is an excellent one to begin with!

What you will need

  • peacock nylon with a black flocked border pattern on both selvage edges
  • invisible zipper.
