Pattern by Gertie - Half Finished

What was your source for this sewing project? Other What are you most proud of? Love the semi finished look, need to put sleeves in - but the fit is great. I'm naughty I just tissue fit, rather than a muslin!! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Great pattern, easy to work with nice fit - gives you a waist if you haven't got one!

Q&A with Pohutukawa

zinc6 asked:
Looking good, lucky you to be able to tissue fit. I always get bogged down in the fitting I am also attempting my first tailored jacket atm and made 2 muslins over 3 days until i was satisfied with fit.
Pohutukawa answered:
Ummm... I just don't like muslin making - I don't know why? Too much sewing I would say! I like Sandra Betzina's tip of adding an inch to the side seams, and adjusting the fit there.
Pat Mitchell asked:
This is fabulous! Love the 3/4 sleeve. The inside is as wonderful as the outside.
Pohutukawa answered:
Not bad aye!
