Patient gowns

Project Description

What are you most proud of? The way they look- very nice for a (hospital) gown - or around the home if someone is bedridden or recovering from surgery. I especially liked the pink one with the ribbon for breast cancer awareness. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Anthing is possible - if you don't have a specific pattern - you can make your own.

What you will need

  • Cotton materials
  • binding tape for ties and edges
  • thread
  • sewing supplies & tools.

You know what would be GREAT!? I spend a lot of time in hospitals and resting in bed. I'm disabled and while I'm cozy with the blankets and such, my shoulders, arms, to a certain extent my neck and upper back get very cold. I'm thinking something like a fleece or flannel shrug in the original sense - nothing too long in the torso to get caught up in tubing, the bedding, and/or a wheelchair, but something with sleeves so it doesn't continue to fall off the shoulders and perhaps little cup mittens you can put over your fingers. A little pocket or two would be also nice to keep a purse pack of tissue or lip balm handy. What do you think? By the way, I just left a rather lengthy email to your through your Esty store regarding a dog bone pillow.
Deena answered:
thanks for the input. Yes that does sound like something one should consider. If you do want a custom made item, I am sure we can work things out. I will look for your e-mail.

This is very nice! Where did you find the pattern?
