Passport Cover

Project Description

What are you most proud of? To provoke smiles out of stern immigration officers. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Perfect to start of practicing appliques. A no can go wrong project.

What you will need

  • Cotton for applique and the lining. Local material called "German Print"
  • that I'd like to combine with imported prints
  • for the outside. Fusible adhesive for the applique (the sticky iron-on stuff that glues on both sides). It's brilliant !

Your passport covers are adorable and practical for a family who travels to the far reaches of the earth. I've just read your biography and I'm so impressed with your upbeat attitude living in the bush. As one who lived in a far away place many years ago, I know that it sometimes takes a lot of effort to keep those spirits up. Craftsy is a wonderful place to learn and to meet people. Welcome aboard!

Dear 2strings, Thank you so much for your encouraging comments and words! They do mean a lot to me. Sometimes it can feel a bit isolated being thousand of miles apart from family and close friends. Sewing has always been a sancturary to me. Now that I have stumbled upon this website I have found fresh impulses to create and it feels sooo good to get inspired and share things with like-minded people. Warm greetings from Gaborone, Nicole
