My very 1st tailored shirt.

Project Description

What are you most proud of? EVERYTHING! I never ever thought I would or could have sewed a classic tailored shirt...but I did! And David wore it as soon as the last stitch was sewed! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just do it! Don't be scared. It's really not as intimidating as it sounds or feels like it is. And the worst thing that could happen is you throw away some fabric...but Pam is an amazing instructor and she really really explans everything wonderfully. In fact, all the things I learnt in this class, I was able to apply to my other projects directly after it. I am sooooo glad I took this class, and I really feel my sewing has been brought to another level. Pam, thank you so much for teaching this class. I learnt so much, and for a self-learner, fairly new sewer....this was amazing! THANK YOU!

What you will need

  • Batik
  • 100% cotton.

Hi! I am so pleased with your very first shirt. It looks like you've been making them for quite a while! You've done a great job, and I hope that you keep making them (I'm sure your husband does too) Thanks, Pam

Thank you Pam! I am actually in the process of making a 2nd!! But I am playing with the pattern to make it a little more slim :D I have made a shirt for my son, using your techniques and the same batik for the collar and button band....I wish I could attach the image here...it's sooo cute!! Once, again, thank youuuuu!
Calumn asked:
