My Gargoyle's

Project Description

What are you most proud of? This pair is still a bit rough - but I'm still a learner sewer and working with the stretchy stuff is a little challenging. I changed up the elastic as wanted a really smooth front but I come in a long way at the rear view so I put elastic only on the back to draw in the drawers

deanna Nascimen asked:
Love the idea of just putting elastic on back. I was thinking my next one I make I will use fold over elastic and see how that works for being smooth.
kiwi.relichunter answered:
That sounds like a good idea. I'm definitely going to make these in a black and maybe something a little prettier if I can find good fabric like yours.
Davesmom asked:
How do you like the fit? Is a PDF file for down loading? Your Gargoyle's is looking good. What a great idea!
kiwi.relichunter answered:
I really like the fit, I come in at the waist, or is that out at the derrire so I will adjust a little more on the next pair to firm up the waist.

Hi Kiwi, Can you do me a flavor? Can you show me the inside of the gusset? The reason I want to see it is because I am struggling with the gusset on the Gargoyle girdle I am in the middle of making. Are the short ends of the gusset meant to go all the way down to the inner leg hems of both the front and back pieces? Because if they are they are not long enough. I have posted this question to Ms Deckert's class platform (Plus Size Fitting and Design) and she has tried to explain to me how it fits. But I need to see it visually. I would be very grateful if you could do this. Tracey
kiwi.relichunter answered:
I just checked help and adding photos is temporarily unavailable. I will try to remember to keep checking. If you have an email you want me to send photos to I'm happy to do this. I made this so long ago I can't recall if I adjusted the pattern, but I made the gusset go all the way down the inside leg - which I find really comfortable.
