Mom's t-shirt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I learned how to use a tween needle. It is the first time I have used one. And it looks great. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I could have probably have used a heat and bond for a lighter material. It did make the hem kinda stiff. But I actually like it. If Mom doesn't I'll buy the t-shirt off of her. But I am pretty sure she will like it. Mom lives in Manitoba, Canada and I live is SK. Canada, we are about 350 mile apart. I'll will take the shirt to her this coming week-end.

What you will need

  • 100% cotton and Heat and Bond 3/4" for heavy fabrics

Q&A with Davesmom

Lynne O asked:
That looks great! Those twin needles look so professional don't they.
Davesmom answered:
Yes they do!! Thanks for the compliment. What do you use for stabilizing your fabric, when using twin needles?
Donna Brancy asked:
Never heard of a tween needle. It does look so professional.
Davesmom answered:
Guess I misspelled twin. Spelling was my worst subject in school, I never learned phonics properly. But I do love to sew and learn new things. Have you ever used a twin needle when sewing? I was surprised at how easy it was.
susangwerner@yahoo.com.au asked:
Beautiful twin needle work there !!
Davesmom answered:
Thank you! It was another learning experience and good one.
