McCall's 6163, Modified

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo McCall's 6163 Link to website or photo mccallpattern.mccall.com/m6163-products-11278.php?page_id=101&search_control=display&list=search What are you most proud of? I am most proud of the fact that I used the fitting information I learned from Susan Khalje's The Couture Dress to get a really good fit on this dress. I'm also proud of my first time using a stretch needle and 4-way stretch fabric. Oh, and the pattern alteration work to take a pencil skirt to a twirly assymetrical hem. My janky work is detailed on my blog. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a super easy pattern - just watch out for the really low neckline. I raised my neckline 2 inches and still had a really good view of my bra all night.

What you will need

  • 4-way stretch jersey from Gorgeous Fabrics.
