What was your inspiration? Myrna was a lovely student at my live class in July at MPSOAF (see other student work) NOTE: JONI is her daughter and you can see similar body build in her post. Myrna is short torso from the shoulder to waist. Note how short her pattern piece is in her photo. The adjustments are shortening the upper part of the torso, but she is busty so see the increase in the bust area around the bust curve and fullest part of the bust. Interesting that she was able to increase where these areas overlap. The method is so fluid and you can apply the adjustments in locations that pertain to your body. She also had a decrease at the underbust to waist area as you can see on her fitting sample that there is not a lot of length from the underbust/braline to the natural waist. So her design incorporates lovely darts that angle to the CF of the bodice. You can't totally see it in the picture but what a LOVELY fit!!! She will put a peplum on the bodice. Also I LOVE My method because she how she had to increase in the bust area and not the lower part of the pattern. If she were to use a commercial pattern and increase the length at the bottom like most do, then her pattern would be WAYYYYY to long. Another case to prove my fitting proportion point. You have to do this at the pattern phase! On the back she is also almost spot on for the fit other then a small amount of the angular pinning at the side. Just lovely.
