Q&A with robin_renee

ooohjihae asked:
Do you have a pattern or instruction for this wrap-around strap clutch? I love this.
robin_renee answered:
I don't have a pattern, but it would be simple to make your own. I made an "envelope" out of paper to work out the size and once I was satisfied, I cut it out of one continuous piece of leather. Since its leather, the edges don't need to be finished so I folded it over and sewed one seam along each side, the extra material (the flap) is simply folded over. I cut a long thin strip of black leather and riveted it to the back of the clutch. I then placed a rivet on the front, but didn't secure it all of the way. A small portion of the rivet sticks out and so you can then punch several holes in the thin leather band, thus creating an adjustable closure. I hope this helps you make your own creation!
