What are you most proud of? As I pieced the handles for this laptop bag--I was running really low on the Navy blue exterior fabric. I pinned and stitched carefully, and you can barely see the additional seams where I joined smaller strips of fabric. I found more of this wonderful upholstery fabric--not in Navy bluecolor, but in a dark brown. I'm going to make another laptop box bag construction in the brown fabric and will snap photos to create a tutorial to share with you. I'm working on several tutorials at the moment, including the Tomato Soup Purse. I'm continuing to use up the baby crib bumper padding I bought at Goodwill and deconstructed, washed, and recycled. The padding is spun in airy layers and is quite easy to divide in half just using your fingers, and, then I divded it again to get just the right thickness. I join sheets of padding with big zig-zag stitches--using just a needle and thread. What advice would you give someone starting this project? The box construction and zipper installation looks difficult but is quite easy. Don't forget to add decorative stitches in a high contrast thread.
