Q&A with LizzyH

aannmacke1366834 asked:
how did you finish your seams?
LizzyH answered:
For the seams, I did a very narrow zig-zag with a short stitch length. Then I finished the raw edges together with my serger using a narrow 3 thread overlock stitch. The serger trimmed the seam and made it a narrow finished edge. If I didn't have a serger, I would have trimmed the seams a bit and finished the seam allowances together with another pass of the zig zag stitch. I did a blog post about the top here: http://elizabethhalpern.com/blog/2013/5/22/yfhsqbfy9q4w8kjfy0w205kzaqd9dk (Sorry for the long URL. I can't figure out how to insert a link!)
