What are you most proud of? Completion and a wearable top. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This top has quite a wide neck, next time I would totally bring that in somewhat. I don't like my bra strap just hanging out all the time. The pleats at the front were tricky and I redid them a dozen times to get them to look OK. I did a full bust adjustment and added different sleeves than are on the pattern. The facing around the neckline would not co-operate at all and I ended up understitching and then topstitching it and then cutting the facing about 3/4 inch wide. Then I used a fusible web to "tack" down the slashed/clipped portions of that facing so that it would not flip up. I used a twin needle to hem the bottom and sleeves. Turned out nice enough. It is comfy to wear and easy to take care of - machine wash and hang to dry. I do have a serger as well and didn't end up needing a lot of info from the Sewing with Knits class, but I did learn some techniques (like the twin needle) and it was interesting enough. The BD class is the one I love though because it gave me the confidence to try this kind of thing!
