Q&A with connierae910183

Davesmom asked:
I love the color of your fabric. The jacket has a nice fit. Did you alter it at all? I am having problem with getting things to fit me. Any idea's?
connierae910183 answered:
I usually have to alter for the bustline. But since this pattern was based on ready to wear sizing, I just chose the size closest to my bust measurement. I also take into consideration my high bust measurement, as I did not want it to look too big. No alterations were made. I've purchased fabric for 2 other jackets and have chosen a contrasting color for the collar, facing and welts. Can't wait to get started. I'm not one to button my jackets all the way up, so I would suggest using your bust measurement for sizing. Good luck.
pamanne asked:
This looks lovely on you, and beautifully made. I agree that it is hard to make just one!
connierae910183 answered:
Thank you for the compliment. I enjoyed each step. Anxious to get started again. Hopefully this weekend.
Mrs mel asked:
Very nice, you are a brave woman.
connierae910183 answered:
Thank you. I was so tired of altering patterns, I decided just to pick the size closest to the bust measurement and I went for it. I was so happy it fit so good.

This looks fabulous! Please post photo's of the next ones you finish....would love to see them too.
connierae910183 answered:
I will. It may be a few weeks before I get them done.
Mrs mel asked:
I, too, grow weary of alterations. The muslin manufacturers must love me. However, when i made a muslin of this one, it fit amazingly well except for those pesky lengths. Can anyone tell me how too post a pick to the site? That sewing without pins is MAGIC!!!
connierae910183 answered:
Make sure you download you picture to your computer. Then in Craftsy, click on Add a Project. Now you should be able to browse for your picture and download it to Craftsy. Good luck! Can't wait to see your projects.
