Project

iPad case

Project Description

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I added a seam to the finished project about a quarter inch from the top. That is to hold the lining down and in place. I also added 1/8" to the width to accommodate a smart cover, but I don't think it needs it. I may add 1/4" to the length though. I think, maybe, it would cover the top just a bit more.

What you will need

  • Quilt fabric (fat quarters)
  • fusible interfacing
  • cotton batting.

Q&A with angep

winkblink asked:
I love the clean lines and overall look of this case. Have you considering creating a revision to include a book style cover? I am looking for one that I don't have to remove my ipad from that has elastic corner straps to hold it in place.
angep answered:
Hi Wink. Thank you for your kind works. I haven't done any book style covers. I got the pattern from here, just to protect my iPad from banging in my purse. I have the magnetic smart cover on it already. I haven't found a pattern I like yet, for that style of cover, however I say some covers on etsy that looked like they make stands, so you can leave your iPad in. There may be patterns on here too, but I saw this one, and liked it right away, and was easy to sew. Hope that helps. Feel free to write back if you want any more info.
