Hey Sister! Insulated Lunch Tote

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Insulated Lunch Tote Link to website or photo What are you most proud of? When I was designing the pattern,I got the math right when I calculated the measurements. I love it when all the sides line up! I also perfected my double-fold bias tape technique making this. I plan on making my own bias tape on the next one. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Laminated cotton can be a pain to work with - but don't give up. I used a walking foot and some quilt basting spray. I've taught this class twice and they all turned out (some are in the picture). Everyone was amazed by how easy the bias tape was to sew.

What you will need

  • Laminated cotton
  • webbing
  • 1/2" double fold bias tape
  • buckle
  • Insul Brite

Q&A with Ms. Elaineous

Leslie in NZ asked:
Very nice. I have made a lunch bag from vinyl, but it is not as nice as yours!! I have also seen this pattern on Sew4Home, but I did't look at it in enough detail to realise what the finish level was. Yours look fabulous, lunch never looked so good!!
Ms. Elaineous answered:
they have great ideas but I've found incorrect measurements on their patterns. so extra careful! eventually I'll get the pattern posted...and maybe in metric for you!
