Heather's wedding dress and bridesmaids

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo vogue 2842 Link to website or photo www.sewessential.co.uk/Category.asp?CategoryID=1733&NumPerPage=5&page=1 What are you most proud of? the hand sew lace trim and the fit and the smile on her face on the day! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make a toile- can seem like a waste of time- especially when using a comercial pattern but it saved so much time and worry in the long run! start a lot earlier than you think you need to and do lots of fittings- I did 3 in total. order fabric- especially lace- early- I waited 3 months for this to be delivered to me!! I will be looking for another source next time!

What you will need

  • duchess satin in 2 shades of lilac. beaded cream lace and scalloped lace trim/edging. Anti static lining and net. Boning and cotton medium weight fusable interlining of bridal dress.
