Happy Homemade Pull-Over Parka (Hoodie)

What are you most proud of? The original pattern calls for a woven fabric; I opted to make this version in a knit. I also added the lining for the hood (which is unlined in the original pattern). What advice would you give someone starting this project? The pattern calls for 1/4" tri-folded bias strip for the neck binding. I find that too fiddly to cleanly execute. I was able to use 1/2" single-fold bias tape without compromising the final look of the garment.

You Can Make This

TheInspiredWren made Happy Homemade Pull-Over Parka (Hoodie) with:

  • Lovely soft knit and a quilting cotton for lining & binding. The pattern is from the Japanese sewing book
  • Happy Homemade
  • Sew Chic Kids (available in English
