Thank you! A dear friend was wearing a regular cut vest with his kilt to a "white tie" cotillion. It just didn't work, as a vest to wear with a kilt is cut shorter at the waist. He had a black vest for his Prince Charlie (formal kilt jacket) so i took that for measurements and made the proper "white tie" vest in the proper cut for formal scottish wear. :)
