Fun Bags!

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Sew Spoiled Ladybug Bag Link to website or photo www.craftsy.com/project/pattern/sewing/accessory/sew-spoiled-ladybug-shoulder-bag-sewing-/14428 What are you most proud of? Using up some of my stash! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Have a go- it's a cute bag, and holds more than you might think. It works as both a smart and a casual version. I've made it up in taffeta, cotton, and a lightweight tweedy fabric too. All versions were gifts, and were received enthusiastically! You don't need to use any special materials [I didn't bother with the specialist fusibles advised in the instructions], I had the magnetic clasps in stash, but it would work with a button and loop too.

What you will need

  • Leftover fabrics from my stash: the fancy red fabric is embroidered black net over taffeta
  • teamed with a red/black shot fabric
  • the blue/white print is cotton teamed with white broderie anglaise which was part of a 'suit length' from a sari shop. These were presents for my daughter's birthday
  • I also made some for a friend's 50th. Both loved them!
