Elegant Prom Dress

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Although this pattern was very challenging making it increased my sewing skill set. But the best reward was the happiness it brought. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Read, read, and reread the instructions. Make a test garment from muslin or some other fabric to help understand how this puzzle of a dress goes together. Additional info/photos can be found at http://msknitsew.blogspot.com/2014/05/prom-dress-is-finished.html

What you will need

  • Crepe back satin
  • crepe
  • lining fabrics
  • mastering zippers class was very helpful in putting in invisible zipper on this bias cut garment. No rippling at all!
