Q&A with miller611802206

miller611802206 asked:
My daughter chose these fabrics from some fabric in my stash. She is conscientious regarding using up all scraps or odd pieces. The back of the backpack is in the quilters cotton that matches the pockets, back straps and the lining. This is her chosen pattern for a nappy (diaper) bag, she is an avid walker and did not want a bag that would slip off her shoulders to this was perfect. I was daunted about making it as l had never made a bag this big before. The longest part was sorting out the fabrics for each section and putting on all the interfacing etc. The instructions were very clear and the bag came together very well and l am really happy with it. The design easily adapts to making 1 big pocket on the front, and putting on extras. I added a ring on the inside on the side seam to attach car keys which will make them easily to find. Highly recommend this pattern.

I had no trouble using cord, l used interfacing & pellon on the lining as l did not have what was recommended in the instructions. It was a little thick but l sewed slow and was ok, l would use it again. I will be making more of these bags, my daughter loves it.
