Dia De Los Muertos Needle Book

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Nana Company Needle Book Tutorial Link to website or photo nanacompany.typepad.com/nanacompany/2011/10/needlebook-tutorial-by-nanacompany.html What are you most proud of? I looked up cute skull designs on Google Images until I thought I knew what shapes would work. I just sort of played with it and I'm pleased with the result! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Follow her measurements as precisely as possible, because with pieces this small it's quite important to get the pieces and the seam allowances as exact as you can. I marked the 1/4 inch stitching lines using my acrylic ruler, and then sewed along those. Later I used the machine to do some of the other needle books, but because my machine's foot guide is just slightly over 1/4 inch, I used the stitching lines instead to keep things precise. Have fun with it! If you forget to attach a hair elastic to make the button loop (which is what happened for this one) then I suggest using a small metal snap for the closure.
