Project Description

What are you most proud of? It looks really different and there are no limited to the way you can adapt the pattern. Everyone loves the cheeky face and children just love it. It's big bright and beautiful. What advice would you give someone starting this project? You can use all sorts of odds and sods to make this, I collect scraps of fabric left over from my projects and this is ideal for using some of those up. There are no rules about colours or patterns so have fun and play with the combinations before you cut anything out. I would recommend using felt for the eyes and the beak, it's gives more body to it and it doesn't fray either.

What you will need

  • I used an old pair of my sons jeans
  • thanks Ry and lots of odd fat quarters I had hanging about
  • It was great fun and so unusual and owl are really in at the moment. I also adapted the pattern to make a panda!

Q&A with Mad woman

StichyScientest asked:
These look fantastic. How much did you reduce the measurements by to make the small bags?
Mad woman answered:
To be honest I cant remember, but I have the pattern and I will measure it for you, if that would help,
