Customized Monster Shirt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I tried something new. My coverstitch machine was acting up so I used the jersey stitch (on my new Bernina 530) for the hems and neckline. I like the look and it is nice and stretchy. It is a good alternative for coverstitch or zig zag.

What you will need

  • Cotton jersey with Lycra
  • TAP transfer paper
  • procion dyes

what a great shirt ..your projects all look pro..very talented lady
CraftyNHmom answered:
Thanks! Talent, no. Tons and tons of practice. My first knit garments were a bit dodgy, each one gets a little better. Though you can see my stitching in the close up is a bit crooked! :)
Sew4us asked:
Great job. What stitch did you use around your neckline?
CraftyNHmom answered:
Jersey stitch. It looks like little loops. I was curious to try it out, I like it! You can see it in the close up photo.
miss_red asked:
awesome! How did you get the print on it?
CraftyNHmom answered:
Transfer paper from lesleyriley.com. I've heard it launders well, time will tell!
