Corporate Shirt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? The fit is great - I used my stash - again - and I have a nice business shirt - to wear with either sjpkirts or my suits. I normally would pay $249 for a business shirt, this one cost me three hours of time, and $20 as I purchased the fabric at half price. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Follow the class Pam shows some excellent techniques and if you run not trouble, use the platform to ask questions, Most of all have fun!!!

What you will need

  • Cotton with slight stretch
  • buttons and thread - all from my stash!!

Q&A with Pohutukawa

Calumn asked:
Great job! Thanks for sharing. I agree with you it's much more fun to use 'real' fabric when trying out a pattern. I find I'm more careful and get a better read of the fit.
Pohutukawa answered:
Me too! I'm not inspired by muslin at all! I look like a curtain and feel like a curtain in it! That's what it's used for in NZ - curtain backing!!!
Sarg asked:
Making tailored clothes has always scared me a bit. This is a terrific class and seeing your wonderful results is inspiring. Thank you for posting.
Pohutukawa answered:
Hi Sarg. Just do it, take your time, you will have fun. Thanks for your inspiration too!
