Collarless Silk Crepe De Chine shirt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? my very straight seams, drape & the fit - this is the 10th shirt I have made since starting this class - I just love making shirts - through fabric choice and minor alterations to the pattern I can imagine a shirt for everyone i know. What advice would you give someone starting this project? be careful using light colours if you are going to try using gelitine - silk stains very easily. it is imporant to dry the silk very flat and straight so that the grainlines are true. I cut the fabric into three blocks before soaking and drying out - lenght of front, length of back, lenght of sleeve. This made the silk easier to dry straight.

What you will need

  • Silk Crepe De Chine cotton thread
