Coils bowls with embellishment

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Basic instructions on how to make a fabric coil bowl Link to website or photo www.craftstylish.com/item/33825/how-to-sew-a-fabric-bowl/page/all What are you most proud of? I really like the colour combinations. The true colour of the leaf fabric doesn't show up in the photo though. It's more of a gorgeous aqua blue. What advice would you give someone starting this project? As I was sewing the bigger bowl i thought it was turning out to be a complete disaster (it seemed a bit wonky and I thought I'd made the base too narrow). I was going to abandon it. I'm glad I stuck with it in the end because it turned out ok. So I guess my advice would be something along those lines...

What you will need

  • Multi purpose 5.6mm soft rope
  • fabric strips
  • super craft glue
  • antique bronze charms
  • antique bronze chain and jump rings.

Thank you! I have put in a link above that will take you to the tutorial that I first read before giving this craft a go. It really is super easy, quick, quite cheap to do and the design possibilities are endless. I really hope you give it a try and enjoy it as much as I do.

G'day Sarah! What a gorgeous thing!! I had been making hand-painted bags for fundraising, but I'm definitly going to look at that tutorial and have a shot at this!!! Just have to put my crochet aside for a while LOL

Thank you! Hehe, it is a bit like that isn't it - I am constantly getting distracted by new projects so at the moment I have 8 that I go back and forth between :)) The baskets are good, in that you can finish them in a day but they are addictive! As soon as I finish one, I am already thinking about the next! Have fun!
