Christmas Stocking

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I finally made my son Stephen a Christmas Stocking after year's of him complaining of only having bought ones! What advice would you give someone starting this project? I used the Crafsty March BOM - string block method which was easy and quick to do!

What you will need

  • Christmas fabric
  • fur

Q&A with desna

Pamillia asked:
Really cute stocking & the fur that you accented it with, really, just tops it off. Was he surprised? Thank you for sharing. :-)
desna answered:
Thanks pam... yes he was surprised and had a big smile on his face saying "About time!":)
Pam NZ asked:
Ha ha love it! Poor Stephen, what a deprived child hood he has had LOL. Good things come to those that wait... and his waiting is over, yay! Good on ya Mum!
desna answered:
Haha Pam, 'poor Steve' has had to wait 20 odd years and it is now proudly hanging from the fireplace!
patz in suffolk asked:
Love the story! Everything comes to he who waits (even if it has to be 20-odd years!). Love the icicles round the top too!
desna answered:
Haha... I have taught Steve patience ;) The fur was from an old shawl that my daughter Louise used for her 21st fancy dressy party as the Ice Queen (it's good to hold onto things)
