Black Belt Upcycled from Vintage Tie

What are you most proud of? The clean fit of this. A lot of tie upcycles look bulky and awkward to me. This is just sleek and really showcases the silk fabric well. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't be afraid to get into your vintage ties and gut them to give them new life. Be sure you are comfortable with working bias cut fabric and silk before trying something like this. It can be super woodgy and have a mind of its own.

You Can Make This

Kerith made Black Belt Upcycled from Vintage Tie with:

  • Vintage silk tie
  • Guterman thread
  • fusible interfacing
