Black And White Tweed Jacket

Project Description

What are you most proud of? The mock sleeve vent- my first, and, of course, matching the "plaid". What advice would you give someone starting this project? Get a good thimble and work with a fine needle. The amount of hand-work in this project will have you begging for a quality needle and fingertip protection.

What you will need

  • Cotton blend tweed fabric and polka dot lining. The braid is rayon based 1/2 inch width. The fronts and backs are interfaced completely with iron-on fusible. Pattern for the body is V8804
  • modified to include back side panels for a more curved backside. The sleeves are my own 2-piece pattern
  • with mock vent.
