What are you most proud of? I am proud of all the hand work on this dress. The lace appliques were on netting that we purchased by the yard. Each applique had to be carefully cut away from the netting. Then, I hand stitched seed pearls and sequins to each applique before hand sewing them to the dress. There are about 100,000 seed pearls and sequins on this dress. It took eight months to make it, since I made the bodice twice (the basic bodice) and sewing such intricate details takes an enormous amount of time. I am most proud of the smile on her beautiful face, as it turned out just like she wanted. I had thought my second daughter, Charity, would wear it too, but as it turned out, it did not flatter her body type or personality. You guessed it. I made her one of her own, which is just as beautiful on her as this one is on my first daughter, Autumn. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make sure you have PLENTY of time and patience for such a project as this and consider it a true labor of love.
