What are you most proud of? The items gave the children a purpose for walking down the aisle at their uncle's wedding and they were a beautiful compliment to their new aunt's beautiful wedding gown. It was also very special to include items of family heritage like the lace from my grandmother's hanky, silver charms from a piece of my jewelery, the smocked dress made by my late mother in 1983. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Using very basic sewing a crafting skills you too can create something beautiful......lots of satin ribbon tied in bows with hanging ends was the best part. The satin ribbon wrapping the basket handle came off soon after the wedding but it still looked good. My granddaughter carried the basket late into the reception but my grandson soon abandoned the pillow.....I don't know where it got to....maybe my daughter in law has it....I'll have to ask her.
