Alabama Chanin Tunic in progress

I bought a white tunic kit on sale from Alabama Chanin. Decided to jazz it up a little, using grey fabric also from Alabama Chanin. Used an airbrush to stencil the flower shapes. I tried to vary the embroidery colors and appliqué cutouts on each flower. There are sleeves, too. I was going to machine-sew the seams, but by the time I got the princess seams all pinned up, it was easier to hand-sew. I might use a machine on the side seams.

Q&A with KatherineBG

Nixxi asked:
Love the stencil you used - would you mind sharing where you got it?
KatherineBG answered:
Thanks! It's a "FolkArt Small Painting Stencil, 30933 Gerber Daisy" bought from Amazon.
dlmaruyama5121319 asked:
This is really lovely. What color is the paint you used?
KatherineBG answered:
Thank you! It's essentially opaque white Createx paint with a few drops of pearlized blue, I believe, and maybe a drop of green. I was winging it, so it isn't consistent. But the stitching helps tie it all together.
