Adult Bib with crumb catcher

Project Description

What are you most proud of? How well it came out - to the size she requested! This was my first time tempting to make something like this, so I am glad it worked out. What advice would you give someone starting this project? In the future, if I were to make more of these, I may try another material instead of the rip-stop nylon - as it is very "noisy" and may be disturbing to some elderly folks.

What you will need

  • Terry cloth and rip-stop nylon (for lining and crumb catcher)
  • velcro (hook & loop) for neck closure
  • thread

Nice!! I have been looking for a pattern to make my husband a "Man-Bib" for him to wear when he eats in the privacy of our home, I picked up some really cool wine fabric for this project, at a quilt show. Thanks for sharing pattern info!

want to make a vinyl or plastic bib for adults
Deena answered:
It can be made with P.U.L. fabric too - and it is washable and is softer than vinyl and does not make "crunchy" sounds. It has been used for baby bibs and diapers.
