This is adorable! I can't wait to get started!
Oh do, Cindy, it is easier than you think.
How wonderful this turned out! Looks like the skirt you would wear all summer. Have fun in London, new fabric is what makes the world go round ;-)
Thank you for the complement Ann, And I agree, I have found a shop quite close to me and have bought some Owl fabric and for Valentines day some heart fabric. I'm sure I will be going back again. I brought my mini portable sewing machine with me so if I make up the two skirts, I'll be able to justify going back for more fabric! Tee, Hee.
super cute and great fit!
Thank you so much pcampbell for the encouragement. I now have three different lovely skirts from the same pattern that fit me well. Now I am reaching for skirts to put on for casual wear not just Jeans or Jogging trousers. I have doubled my wardrobe just because I can sew a skirt. Who knew?

Thank you so much http://www.craftsy.com/user/2091923 Silvanknits. This pattern took some thinking through, but well worth the effort. It is my go-to pattern for a quick skirt to run up for a week-end sewing fix. I have a number of them now in different fabrics and all look fantastic! Also, I take the paper pattern with me on holiday so I can make up a skirt while visiting Mum. That way I keep my luggage to hand luggage only. ;-)
