Project

3 Button Zippered Purse

Project Description

What are you most proud of? SPECIAL AFFECTS: I made handmade polymer clay medallions and buttons to pair with this autumn colors coarse weave upholstery fabric. TEXTURE: The gray corduroy fabric is super soft (slick too), and tends to slide when constructing pockets. Take your time, use extra pins when matching right sides together and sewing. The finished interior "feels" like old money. What advice would you give someone starting this project? STEP 1: BUY OR MAKE DECORATIVE PIECES I brought home this coarse weave fabric, and before I cut it up--I took the time to make polymer clay buttons and medallions to match. It increased the excitement of building purses and totes!

What you will need

  • Coarse Weave Upholstery Fabric in Autumn Colors. Handmade polymer buttons
  • Soft
  • supple Charcoal Gray Corduroy for lining and interior pocket.
