1st birthday overalls

What are you most proud of? That not only am I sticking to my NY resolution to give homemade gifts this year - but I am starting the preparations well in advance! Also I love the dark blue overalls with the number facings - after making several pairs I attempted to alter the pattern to make the straps a little different and have also devised a method to make the trouser leg able to be rolled up for extra cuteness and wear!! What advice would you give someone starting this project? This pattern is so very simple - the hardest part is getting the pocket to stay folded/pressed long enough to be stitched to the overall body.

You Can Make This

Swarley made 1st birthday overalls with:

  • Various corduroy
  • cotton
  • and cotton drill. These were either Spotlight clearance table finds or pieces sourced from charity shops and mum's fabric cupboard!!
