1920s Inspired Vintage Dress

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I'm so proud of the fact that I drafted the pattern myself. I copied the skirt from another existing skirt I own, added a dropped waistband, and drafted the top based on a tank top with a few changes (more coverage, sleeves). There are a few changes I'd like to make to the top, but considering it was the first time I'd ever done something like that, I'm pretty pleased with it! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't be afraid of jersey. It took me awhile to figure out the settings on my machine, but once you're there, you're done. Don't be afraid to copy clothing you own or draft your own. It's surprisingly basic, at least for something like this.
