"Day at the Park" Bag

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I am proud that I didn't have to rip out any stitches - the instructions were great, especially the part that reminded me to change from my basting stitch to a regular sewing stitch.... What advice would you give someone starting this project? You will want to set an afternoon aside for this project, but it is worth the effort. The most time was spent pinning - the sewing went quickly. Also, if you want to add pockets, do it before you sew the body pieces of the lining together...I did not, and added a pocket at the end, and that would have saved me a ton of time.

What you will need

  • i used duckcloth for the exterior and interior pocket
  • and PUL for the interior lining. Instead of batting
  • I used fusible fleece and attached it to the duckcloth prior to sewing the project.
