"Anchor Me Down" Wristlet

Project Description

What are you most proud of? The size. I did not use a pattern for this, instead I measured out all my own pattern pieces and did a couple in muslin first to figure out how long and wide I would want something like this to be. I finally came to this size, which is 7"x4". It's the perfect size to throw your keys, a smaller wallet, your phone, and whatever other little thing you like to carry around with you: i.e. lipstick, and dare I say it?? tampons!) I'm also proud of the lining color I decided on. I have made many, many handbags and I feel that the lining is just as important as the outside fabric of the bag. I think that the lining should leave as much as a lasting impression as the rest of the bag. Whether that be a lining fabric choice that pops, like the one I chose here, or florals, animal prints, stripes, anything, when your outside fabric is solid let's say. It also makes the bag that much more fun to make and look at! ;)
