If you are afraid of zippers, then this is the pattern for you! The technique is a bit unconventional and, in my opinion, looks better than traditional zippered cosmetic bags. And trust me, it gets easier with very little practice. I do not pin the zipper when I sew it in! I just use slight pressure with my fingers to hold it in place as I sew. Included in the ZIP file are the following tutorials: How To Make a Zipper Template and How to Insert an Exposed Zipper. You'll need these to make this cosmetic bag. BTW, my favorite zipper store is Zipperstop! You can find them on eBay (#3 closed-bottom). BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY You should be able to sew a consistent 1/2" seam

Recommended with this pattern

  • 12" zipper, two pieces of fabric, fusible fleece
  • Free Tutorial: How to Make a ZIpper Template
  • Free Tutorial: How to Insert an Exposed Zipper
